ALPan - Fall Forest Drive & Campout

This event is hosted by the Lower Alabama & Panhandle Chapter of the Gulf Coast Bronco Association. Come out and join us for some fun in the woods! Children & pets are welcome. We plan to camp out on Saturday night and ride trails through the forest on Sunday.

Those who would like to camp out are strongly encouraged to get to the park early, as camping pads are available on a first-come first-served basis. We’d like to get a few pads together near the pond, if we can. There’s a campsite monitor, so we won’t be able to reserve a pad for anyone. We will be primitive camping in Open Pond Loop A, which is the first left after you pass the stop sign to enter the camping area. There is an $8 fee for camping overnight, plus a $3 parking fee for Sunday. Please bring cash to put in the Park’s fee envelopes.

We’ll be driving through and within the forest, using routes planned out on the Motor Vehicle Use Map for the park so that we don’t get fined. Please fill up gas before coming to the event and plan on a 5-hour drive on Sunday.

For those not camping out Saturday night, please meet us on Sunday and pack a lunch. We’ll be meeting at the picnic pavilion at Open Pond for lunch & “Bronco Talk” at 11am, then head out on the ride by noon. More details will be posted as we get closer to the event.
